Todd is a sought after accompanist in Texas fiddle circles. He has played for hundreds of fiddle players across fifteen states, winning many accolades.
His musical interests began at an early age while watching (and eventually performing with) his multi-instrumentalist father, Conley Varble. Conley was a popular figure in bluegrass music and owner of The Bluegrass Corner music store in Holland, Ohio. Todd's first love was playing bass and he played for several bands throughout the 80's and 90's, while also adding bluegrass guitar to some performances.
After a short hiatus from music, Todd found himself filling in as a bass player for his father's bluegrass band where he met Kerry who was the fiddler in the band. He began backing her on guitar at fiddle contests and the rest is history!
